This week Wizards announced the official set name for codename “Scissors” which is set 3 of 3 in the Shards of Alara block. The announced set name is Alara Reborn. Also in the announcement WotC indicated the release date will be THURSDAY, April 30, 2009. That’s right, Alara Reborn is being released on Thursday, April 30, instead of the usual Friday. The reason is because May 1st is International Worker’s Day/Labor Day throughout Europe. Click HERE to see the announcement.

Combat Patrol Tournament
December 6th, 2008
Registration : 10:00 – 10:30

-3 rounds of play, the top four will then play a playoff bracket to determine winner.
-Round time limit will be 1 hour.

Army Size:
500 point army list built from current army books

List Restrictions:
*0-1 HQ Choice
*1-6 Troops Choice
*0-3 each for Elite, Fast Attack and Heavy Support choices
*No vehicles with a total armor value of 33 or higher may be taken
*No models with a 2+ save may be taken
*No Ordnance weapons may be taken

Players must have 3 printed copies of their army lists showing all options and point values. One for judge, one for opponent and one for themselves. This will be an open list tournament, opponents can see your army list.

Entry fee:
There will be an entry fee of $5.00 but if you purchase a product from the Games Workshop line the entry fee will be waved.
