Magic Game Day gives you a shot at glory by becoming a local champion! Run in local game and hobby stores around the world a month after a new card set is available in stores, Magic Game Day is a great way to interact with your local players and see how the new cards shape the Constructed metagame.
Magic Game Day features the Standard format, showcasing the new card set in the most popular format in the world.
All participants receive an exclusive Mwonvuli Beast Tracker (while supplies last).
The Top 8 players each receive an exclusive Magmaquake full-art promo card.
In addition, the first place winner of Magic 2013 Game Day will receive an exclusive Playmat!
The Standard format uses only the newest sets the game has to offer. The current block, the block that was released the previous fall, and the most recent core set (or sets) are all legal to play in a Standard deck.
The following sets are Standard legal: Scars of Mirrodin, Mirrodin Besieged, New Phyrexia, Magic 2012, Innistrad, Dark Ascension, Avacyn Restored, and Magic 2013.

In addition to our regular schedule of events, Comic Emporium also hosts anytime casual play for Magic: the Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, Warhammer, Warhammer 40,000 and Lord of the Rings as well as any other game you like to play. Our gaming area is always available free of charge for your gaming group!
